Life can be a Beach

So we took a trip to the Beach and we had all kinds of bloody fun…literally. We built Sand castles (the ones that look like a little kid made them are the ones i made…the one that looks all majestic and amazing is the one Jake built.) Michael thoroughly enjoyed stomping on castles. and then Jake cut his foot. we were playing in the water and it was pretty rocky and poof *blood* i wrapped it up using my first aid skills (thank you lifeguarding). all in all it was a pretty good day (minus the blood).

i’m never as at home anywhere in the world as i am in the water.

my favorite thing to do is swim,

gliding through the water

listening for and hearing only the bubbles escaping my nose and mouth, and the occasional slush of the water as i flip turn.

the smooth, cool feeling of my hands slipping in and out of the glassy surface.

i love water.

in the water, everything makes sense.

Lost in Austen

So I’ve been watching this movie. it’s one of these British films, and it’s actually pretty good. It’s about this girl, Amanda Price, and she gets sucked into Pride & Prejudice. it’s pretty much fantastic. i’m in love with this movie. :)

how could any day start out better?

 

Sometimes it’s fun to find out that you have more money than you thought….unfortunately with the play and the really short work-week last week i know that paycheck is smaller. but that’s ok. we got grades back here’s what i look like:

Medieval Literature A-
Romantic Literature A
Theatre A

Pretty cool huh. (some of those, i’m completely amazed i did so well.)

so this weekend should be pretty exciting! Jake and i are going over to my parents house tonight, we’ll hang out with Audrey (my sister) and Vivi (my aunt) while the rest of the family is in Idaho. Then we’re all going surfing in the morning, followed by (probably) a nap and then a pampering party (that i won for free) and then more sleepy time. :)

I thought this was really cute. i love this kid. i’m super excited for this movie!!

Doctrine & Covenants II

yes, i’m blogging in class. don’t worry it won’t become a habit. i just had to tell everyone that my teacher is British and everyone knows a teacher from England is much more interesting…accent alone. :)
